How to join your mediation

Walkthrough video — coming soon

Virtual mediations run on Zoom. Your join link is in the emails you've already had — the booking confirmation and the Zoom invitation.

Before you begin

If your mediator uses a mediation agreement, you'll have had a signing request by email. Sign it before the day if you can; if you haven't, you'll be asked to before you're let in.

Click the link in your Zoom invitation email a few minutes before the start time.

2If you're asked to confirm who you are

Some mediators route everyone through a short join page first. It asks for your name and email, checks whether that email has signed the mediation agreement, and then sends you on to Zoom.

  • If you've signed, you go straight through. If it doesn't happen on its own, there's a Join the meeting button.
  • If you haven't signed, you get a card with a link to open the agreement. Sign it and you're brought back here and let through.

Use the same email address the mediation was booked under. A different address won't match a signature.

3Wait to be admitted

Your mediator controls when the session starts and when you're moved into a breakout room. Expect to wait briefly at the start rather than joining straight into a discussion.

In-person mediations

There's no Zoom link. The venue address is on your booking confirmation. If you can't find it, ask the mediator.

Ask the mediator. They can copy the join link off the case and send it to you, or re-send the Zoom invitation.

Don't use a link from a different case, and don't pass yours to the other side — if your mediator uses the agreement check, it's tied to who signed.
