Which emails your panel sends
Almost everything counsel hears from a case happens by email, and almost none of it is sent by hand. CM Email Templates is the list of those emails and the wording each one uses.
What's on the list
Each row names the email, says when it fires, and shows the subject line it'll go out with. Reading down the screen, the emails group roughly as:
When a case is booked
- Mediation Meeting Scheduled — the first email, with the case manager's
contact details on it
- Mediation Meeting Scheduled with Signing — the same email for mediators who
have a mediation agreement configured; it bundles the onboarding form with a "Review & Sign Agreement" button
- Mediation — Party Added After Booking — for counsel added to a case later; it
carries both the Zoom join link and the signing link
Chasing onboarding, money and briefs
- Onboarding Reminder — the onboarding form hasn't been filled in
- New Invoice — sent once onboarding completes and the invoice is generated
- Payment Reminder — payment is overdue
- Brief Reminder, Brief Reminder — Due Today, Brief Reminder — Overdue
- Hourly Invoice and Hourly Invoice — Automated
- Revised Invoice — a party's invoice changed because someone was added to or
removed from the case
When the case moves
- Case Reschedule — the mediation date changed
- Case Time Change — the start time changed, same date
- Case Cancelled and Case Deleted
- Zoom Meeting Reminder — the join details before the session
Agreements
- Mediation Agreement — Signing Request — the per-party signing link, sent from
the Signatures tab
- Mediation Agreement Signed — goes to all parties once everyone has signed,
with the executed PDF
Default and Customized
Every row carries a badge. Default means it's using Scale's standard wording. Customized means someone on this panel has rewritten it. NewCo's list above is Default throughout, which is what a panel that has never edited anything looks like.
The dropdown at the top right
Case Manager (me) is the default: you're looking at your own templates. Switch it to a mediator and you're editing that mediator's templates on their behalf instead. The two are different sets of wording and it matters which one you're in — see How to customise the panel's email templates.
Merge tags
The subject lines show the pattern: {{caseTitle}}, {{mediatorName}}, {{dateAndTime}}, {{caseNumber}}. These fill in per case when the email sends. The editor gives you the list of tags each template accepts.
